our adventure begins with a three-hour canoe ride on one of the largest rivers in the Amazon basin: the Aguarico River. Heading northeast into the reserve, you’ll witness the transition from the whitewater of the Aguarico River to the blackwater of the tranquil Cuyabeno River.
